Data Policy

How Ingram Technology handles customer data and backup responsibility.

Data Policy

Ingram Technology, a DBA of Matthew Ingram, takes reasonable steps to protect customer data. Customers remain responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of their personal and business data. Managed offsite backups are provided only as described in the applicable service agreement or service configuration; backup service should not be treated as a guarantee that every file can be restored.

When equipment or data is serviced, customers should verify the completed work and confirm that required files are present. Temporary working copies or service backups may be retained only for the period needed to complete or validate the service, after which they may be securely removed.

Ingram Technology is not responsible for data loss that results from existing hardware failure, software failure, customer instructions, incomplete backups, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where a loss is directly caused by our proven mishandling of customer-owned hardware, our responsibility is limited to the remedies agreed for the applicable service.

Customers should tell us promptly if they discover missing or damaged data after a service. Specific managed-backup and recovery terms may be defined in the applicable service agreement.
